The Greyest of Days

None greyer than today.

I'm sure the sun will shine again. One day.

Just not today.


To say this day is heartbreaking is an enormous understatement. I've always followed the political process, but never got much involved. This time was different. The time, energy and emotion spent on this one has at times been all consuming and I suppose that's what makes the defeat all the more hard to take. But in the end the forces of greed, fear and privilege seem to prevail over this land of ours. The sun will shine again. One day.
