"I hear those voices...

that will not be drowned"

These words are on the Maggi Hambling Scallop sculpture at Aldeburgh, where we ventured today for an impromptu lunch and scout around. A quick google reveals (by chance) that "In August 2014, Hambling was one of 200 public figures who were signatories to a letter to The Guardian opposing Scottish independence in the run-up to September's referendum on that issue."

I know many are disappointed, but their voices have, at least, been heard. I, for one, am delighted that we're staying united. I didn't want to ever have to declare my nationality as English. I've always been proud to be British!
