At the end of a long night, chief counting officer Mary Pitcaithly announces how Scotland voted yesterday.
Whatever you think of the result, the process was a meticulously managed one.

Pressing the shutter on today's blip was delegated to Mrs Trev, since she'd just handed Mary the print-out of the results she was about to read out, and I was only watching on the telly.
