My topsy-turvy life

A different viewpoint

Everton 4 Wolfsburg 1
Tonight was the first time in about a decade that I've been sat on my own at Goodison in a different stand to usual. I could even see my old seat...and the person sat in it.

Still, at least I chose a decent game to do it at. First game back in Europe and a resounding win against VfL Wolfsburg. Anyone watching just the second half though might have wandered how we were so far ahead. We definitely rode our luck in that second half with Tim Howard making some important saves. Good times to score though, just before half time and a penalty just after made for a relatively comfortable night. It's good to be back.

When I got to Goodison, it was at about the same time as a whole host of Wolfsburg fans who were given a -friendly- poilce escort down the road to the away section in the lower Bullens Road. Very entertaining, singing, chanting and waving flags.

VO-EFF-ELL! VO-EFF-ELL!
