Gone to seed

After two hours in the dentist's chair trying to fix my tooth we decided to go for a walk with Murphy.

We walked around Cheriton. Known for the importance of the Battle of Cheriton. We stood and looked at the site of the battle.

We were following a walk from a website that was difficult to follow on occasions. In particular it said, "proceed through a gate" and most of them weren't there. But we had brought an ordnance survey map with us and Mr F was able to follow the route on the map.

It was a very long walk. The River Itchen starts in Cheriton and when it was easily accessible Murphy had a very refreshing drink.
