Enormity

Lots going on last night. Not only were people busy counting votes from the Scottish Referendum there was thunder and lightening at about 1am. Not as huge as some over the summer but enough to wake me.

And today, in spite of forecasts of rain, turned out to be glorious - after lunch blue skies and temperatures up to 25c - and later, on the horizon, the occasional thunderhead.

Like this one. Followed this from Woking to near home with it growing larger and larger as I travelled toward it. On occasions it seemed to rise from out of the road ahead to dominate the sky but for obvious reasons could not photograph it then. So stopped at Tolworth and caught this as the sun started to set at the base while to the top was still bathed in white sunlight.
