Nuts and Patterns

On my walk this morning I bumped into one of my old friends Ollie with his human. I always get a wag of the tail and a cuddle. Not to be confused with Biskit’s friend young Ollie who lives with his humans over the back from us, or our grandson and Biskit’s best playmate Ollie (I am certain our daughter Pam named him after Ollie dog, but she says no . . .).

Any way Ollie’s human delved into his trousers and pulled out a couple of nuts. “Just look at the patter on these” he said, “they fell off that tree back there.” “Aah yes” says I, “we always get loads of conkers of that horse chestnut, but we do seem to have a bumper crop this year. That pattern gives me an idea for today’s blip.”

So I picked up a few nuts on my way past and here is one of them.

Today’s blip is also an experiment with a new 10 watt LED flood/working light from ScrewFix being used as a lighting source. Not very expensive. If the trials prove ok we may invest in a double 20 watt led flood on a stand at quite a few more pennies. The beauty of the 10 watt light is it’s battery powered, which should give about 3 hours portable lighting which will also help with my videoing – if and when I get back to it.
