Love hurts

My job as a reptile mom. DON'T buy exotic animals from chain pet stores. They don't mean to but their limited knowledge on these animals leads to improper care and handling which is essentially abuse. Like myself, you may want to rescue an animal you see, try to help it get better and be put in a proper home, but this can be expensive. Simply not buying these little ones from these stores might help them stop carrying them. Go to a breeder who's likely to know much more and give you a healthy animal. Now, after some orally given anti-inflammatory and an antibiotic injection, I put my little dracul back in his plants to relax for the night. Hopefully his infected foot from poor handling will get better.
