Taking Flight

Apologies again for the Blip quality - but for me its as much about the moment & at the end of a very eventful evening & next day this just seemed to fit.
I couldn't really find anything that didn't seem tedious to show from the conference (I take my hat off to any Blippers that can make a load of people in a lecture theatre watching powerpoint presentations seem good) - and the conference was so so good that that seemed unfair.

The votes went pretty unanimously the way we hoped - so now the hard but exciting work starts, hopefully in the next six months we'll re-write our constitution and articles of association, move towards more paid officers and start on the very gradual path towards potentially becoming an NGB. Indoor climbing is potentially one of the largest not reported sports in the UK - we have world champions - exceptional facilities and, most importantly, huge participation. Soon we hope to undertake a project with Sport England that will recognise this & then encourage it & finally reward it.
