Creedy

This was one of my favourite places in Christchurch as a child. The monks used this walk, apparently: hence the name Creedy: originating from the Creed. In my childhood the woodland was managed by twin brothers. Because my brother and I were (relatively) well behaved and didn't knock the trees about to get conkers (see yesterday's blip) they used to gather up bags of conkers and give them to us when we came out of school. My wizened victor of many fights came from Creedy.
