Stairway to somewhere

A brief visit to a hotel in Beaconsfield to collect an errant jacket that I left in amsterdam and made it's way back with a friend.

The most stunning interior reminiscent of a French boudoir with white leather seats inset with diamanté and these terrific staircases, not to mention the crushed velvet walls, mirrored bathrooms and copper baths in the rooms!!

I must bring my hard working husband to take these stairs with me and taken some time out from the real world into this decadent hotel.

Such juxtaposition to our current weekends of building, painting, digging and planning. I might even indulge in a glass of fizz or two.
