Fishing cabins in Mjällom

The sailing season had now ended! On Sunday I prepared Lotta to be lifted out of the sea and placed on land for the winter. (The actual lift takes place next Sunday.)
I was lucky with the weather, still reasonably warm and almost no wind, which makes removing the mast a lot easier.
I also lifted the anchor which had spent the last 18 months on the bottom. It was a fairly heavy lift, not because the anchor is so heavy but because there are 15 meters of heavy chain between the anchor and the rope to the boat. The chain acts as a shock absorber. If the boat is lifted by a wave or pushed by the wind the same wave/wind also has to lift 15 meters of chain before any pressure comes on the anchor. In a sheltered spot like Mjällom Harbour this would rarely happen.
On the other side of the inlet are these cottages. They are built out over the water and each has a place where a boat can be brought in under the roof and then lifted out of the water for the winter, when the whole inlet will thoroughly freeze.
This is actually yesterday's blip. Todays blip will follow shortly.
