Yellow Fingers

Another hectic day.

When I started to mount a couple of large monochrome prints and laid them on the table with sheets of black and white card, it became obvious that the prints were not black-and-white but had a magenta cast. I looked out prints from the same source made last year and the difference was clear.
So it was straight back down to the High Street where the shop owner agreed something was wrong and offered to reprint them.
Back again after lunch but owner was out at the bank. Back again half an hour later where the reprints were the same as the first lot and he couldn't understand why. He was using the same printer, the same paper and the same inks as last year and hadn't altered the settings. He said he'd look further into it and to call back again on Thursday.
In the meantime, tonight, I had to hand in two slightly tinted monochromes for the first club print competition.

I went for a quick visit to the local woods to grab a fungus blip for today and came across this unusual yellow one sprouting from a crack in a fallen log.

The depth of field is rather limited, (very low light) but I thought it was an interesting shape and colour.
