A wee dram

After a great long weekend with friends in Edinburgh, we headed north again today. We crossed over the Forth bridge into Fife and made our way up the A9 as far as Dalwhinnie, where we stopped to buy a wee dram and some glasses for the Stay-at-Home.

We went west to Loch Laggan, before going up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Nessie herself was a no-show but driving the length of the loch brought us up to Inverness, where we're staying the night with friends.

We're staying on the side of the Firth, looking across to the Black Isle, enjoying the welcome of an open fire, good food, red wine and catching up with friends around a kitchen table.
