Sea, Spray and Stones

'You never enjoy the world aright, till the sea itself floweth in your veins, till you are clothed with the heavens and crowned with the stars.' - Thomas Traherne.

If I sit here long enough watching the sea washing over the boulders, listening to the ebb and flow of the surf, its steady rhythm becomes one with the beat of my heart and the pulse of the blood in my veins, and I do indeed feel 'intimately acquainted with that shady nothing out of which the world was made.'
