Dainty eater

Went back to check on the pukeko chicks today to see if there have been any changes. Not a lot of change in size, but great gains in confidence and independence.

This chick was happily feeding himself with a grass root. Not sure what the foot action was about but it looked almost as though the root was stuck in his teeth and he was trying to hook it out:)
