Southend on Sea Pier

Had rain overnight and started off cloudy but some sunshine later in the day. Went into Southend this morning with C for breakfast and some shopping. Decided to take an iconic shot of Southend, the longest pleasure pier in the world. This is looking from the High Street and the building on the left is the lift going down to promenade level. You can also see part of Adventure Island, lots of rides and amusements for the youngsters (and not so young!) packed and noisy in the summer:) Liked the fact that the sun was trying to come out lighting up the end of the pier. Hadn't realised til I went to put blip on that I have done 900! Might have tried a bit harder to find a stunning blip if I had!
