Red Deer Stag

Walking in the park this afternoon, head down, looking for butterflies and fungi, I nearly walked into this stag. He was not amused. One has to be careful now with the onset of the rut as the stags can be aggressive. His neck is now very thick with muscle ready for the battles for the females. Although I not sure he will be a serious contender. There are several stags much larger than him.
