Hundertwasser House Vienna

This amazing apartment block was designed by Friedrich Hundertwasser who is one of my favourite artists. His bold colours were achieved by grinding pigments and using them unmixed. His drawing featured curves and spirals ("a straight line is Godless").
He was also an architect who would often renovate existing buildings rather than tear them down (he was also an ecologist). His architecture features uneven surfaces in the walls and floors ("an uneven floor is a melody to the feet") and would corporate natural features of the landscape.
