Painted Lady

A warm afternoon in the Community Garden brought an autumn butterfly bonanza: Speckled Wood, Red Admirals a plenty, Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, a couple of Large White and pride of place to this Painted Lady.

This is only my second Painted Lady of the year, and a much more successful blip than the first one .

Nice to find some beauty on what to that point had been an ugly day.
