Borrowed Hummer!

This little mommy bird built her nest right under my friend's patio IN a strand of Christmas lights! She's sitting diligently on her eggs. Right above her, standing on the beams is a big orange tabby cat! They put a piece of plywood up there to give her some shelter and privacy from the cat.

No hummers at MY feeders yet....just zip by every now and then.....but don't stop for a drink.

Daisy Scout meeting and Junior Scout meeting today! Phil made it to the Fish Fry at church and brought home some dinner. Our friends are on their way here for the weekend. Fun Fun!

There are some big dark clouds looming, threatening to rain on our soccer fields.....we shall see if the games will go on in the morning! (We might seem like big weenies with just a bit of rain to cancel a soccer game, but the parks & recreation department closes the fields so their grass doesn't get ruined in the mud.)
