Wine Tasting

After chatting to a French couple yesterday, on their recommendation, we decided to head to the little town of Eguisheim which is voted as one of the most beautiful villages in the world. It really is very pretty with flowers everywhere and the buildings are really colourful. We found this wine cellar in the centre of the village so it would have been rude not to have stopped and have a taste.

We then went to Colmar on the way home which is the main city of the Alsace region. We were very surprised to see this, but it turns out that the Statue of Liberty was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi who was born in Colmar. It's amazing what you learn isn't it?

Tomorrow is our last day here, so we have to take the boys to the vets in the morning to get their passports in order, but other than that, we're having a lazy day with a bit more wine tasting so we can choose what to bring home.
