Robin Barclay - one a day

Dalkeith's iconic water tower

This B-listed Victorian water tower was acquired and converted into a dwelling by architect and enthusiastic "foodie" Gerry Goldwyre (who had a career changing win several years ago on BBC's Masterchef). The water tower is a visible and unique building to Dalkeith. This view is from Ironmills Park - land gifted to the Dalkeith community which is not allowed to be developed under the terms of the gift, thankfully. Ironmills Park was busy this warm overcast evening, mostly with kids at football training and various adults exercising - and some, like me, just walking dogs. The shortening evenings seem to be encouraging folk to enthusiastically grab the little after-dinner daylight left before the dark winter evenings take over.
