Here we go again (again)

Heavy lift

As I've mentioned before, I spend most of my days in the shadow of not one, not two, but three of the country's biggest engineering projects.

There are 2 partially outfitted / assembled aircraft carriers right outside my office window, and I've become so blasé about them, I rarely even turn around & look.

On top of that, less than a mile to the east there's the small matter of the new Forth Bridge under construction. Which is where this mighty machine is currently deployed.
It's the Boskalis Taklift sheerleg crane, which is being used to manoeuvre the 900 tonne roadway sections.

Unfortunately, this is the closest I can get with my camera.
