Doing a Runner

After escaping from work at 5 o'clock this afternoon, I stopped by the One Show rehearsals outside Broadcasting House to see what bizarre stunt they might be setting up for tonight's programme. Today we were entertained by duck herding on the World Piazza. These gorgeous white Indian Runner Ducks were very endearing and amusing, and they drew quite a crowd with their antics in-between having drinks of water. They seemed quite inquisitive, and ran around together in their flock even when the Border Collie dog wasn't herding them to the calls of the shepherd. After watching them being skilfully rounded up into a picket fence enclosure, I did a runner myself - all the way to Great Portland Street station and the train home for the weekend.
