Lake Orta in the mist!!

Our first visit to the town of Orta, and it was very misty. We had a quick look around, and after a coffee returned to the hotel where we sat on the balcony and watched a thunderstorm come and go!! The clouds were amazing really, but we are hoping that it will clear in time for our trip to the Matterhorn tomorrow.
However, there is some wonderful food to look forward to in the hotel, as this evening we were given a traditional Piemontaise dinner.
