CDs - they still exist

Someone asked me what I got for my birthday and when I said "some CDs" their response was "they still exist?"
Well yes they do, and I doubt I'll ever get away from my preference for owning an album in some physical form rather than just a download. That said I've realised we don't have a CD player around anymore apart from in the cars and the drives on the computers.
