Day 2 at the Ryder Cup

Another fabulous day and the golf was amazing on day 2.

We spent some time at the 15th green and saw some unbelievable golf in the morning fourballs and then in the afternoon foursomes. Justin Rose was the star player of the European team today, he played the perfect game. Watching Henrik Stenson's approach to the 15th, Justin's fabulous 50 foot putt on this green and Ian Poulter's superb chip-in were some of the amazing highlights of the day.

With 45,ooo fans descending on the Gleneagles course, the 40th Ryder Cup has certainly gripped the imagination of the sporting world. Rory McIlroy has emerged as a genuine sporting superstar, the game is to be included in the next Olympics and the Ryder Cup has even knocked football off the back pages.

A four-point lead, then. It should be Europe’s cup, logically speaking. But the Miracle of Medinah, never mind Brookline in 1999, proves that there’s still plenty of hope for the USA.

It should be a thriller tomorrow. Good luck Europe and good luck to America. Serve us up another classic, will you?
