Mike and Starlight - Two Gentle Giants

During the week Mike works with very damaged people, while Starlight, the Clydesdale, eats grass.

At the weekends they work together, either logging in woodland that is inaccessible for machinery, or doing demonstrations at shows.

Mike is well over 6ft tall and Starlight stands at 18.2 hands (that is 6ft 2 inches at the wither, or shoulder.)

The bond between them is astonishing.

I had to work today, so I'm watching the highlights of the Ryder Cup this evening. It's jolly exciting stuff.
