Brighton Dolphin. GX1, Leitz Summicron 50mm DR.

Down the hill by the river is a public swimming bath owned and run by the City of Boston. It has been closed for a couple of years since it needs some serious renovation. I drive past every day on my commute and have noticed that the front facade of the building has Deco-like dolphins cast in cement atop fluted cement columns. I thought that the place must have been put up in the 30s or 40s but the only information I could find online indicates that the City built several of these public facilities in the 50s and 60s. Anyhow, here is a rather sad and unemployed dolphin at the top of his column awaiting better days.
