Happy Bug

Okay, busted, I went for a wee walk today. Improvising a Tensor® bandage with old pantyhose gets just a little unpleasant after a few days, I tell you, even if they're 80% silk. I nipped down to the corner to grab one at Shoppers Drug Mart and found the Life® brand version on sale.

Meanwhile, Dr. Fred Turner is carefully tracing out the connections between WWII military research, the (shockingly short-lived) hippie commune movement, the Hackers' Ethic, and big big business. Ah, the suits versus the dungarees; it's a myth. I LOVE this man.
