What is it?

Found this in my loft while looking for objects to photograph using my new portable lighting kit. It must be twenty years old at least. Using the the lighting box isn't as easy as the adverts make out - you can still get reflections and shadows. However, I've watched a lot of YouTube videos of other photographers using them so I'll persevere.
