Surfing Vans

We hired a car and took a drive around the island today. Although the island itself is quite bare and, well, volcanic, the coastline is amazing.

We took a walk along a beach where there were about a hundred surfers. On our way back to the car, I spotted this guy surfing on a board... on top of his van. Maybe he was practicing?
