Colchester Castle and replica WW1 tank

Weather overcast in the morning, sunny after lunch. Having a weekend away in Colchester, a town that I've never really been to just passed! The Castle and grounds are beautiful, so much to see and a lovely cafe in the park. This tank is on display outside the castle and was fantastic to see, so much work involved. The description reads: 95 years ago a Mark IV tank from the First World War was displayed on the far side of the castle. It remained there until 1934, when it was "sold to a local scrap dealer for £7.10s." This half size model has been commissioned in memory of all those who lost their lives in The Great War. It is made out of a metal frame filled with compost and is planted with 14,000 individual Alternanthera plants. Good day and a nice meal in the evening.
