Le Puy de Dome

Le Puy de Dome is the highest extinct volcano in France. The summit is reached by a recently built railway and the views from here are outstanding . We took the train up and walked down ... I don't envy those who had opted to walk up !
On our way home we stopped off in Montpeyroux, a charming village full of houses with colourful shutters and quiet corners .
