The people you meet!

We , John my cycling buddy and I, are travelling from the end of our Rhine Cycle Ride at Hook of Holland to Amsterdam by train to catch the plane back to Bristol. We discuss the highlights of our 1000 mile ride ( we got lost a lot!) and we both agree that it was the people we met from every continent, young and old. The hospitality of the people we met. The ongoing assistance and direction freely given. Sometimes inaccurate ! And people like Cash here with stories to tell. Born and living on a Rhine barge from birth to 7. Boarding school until 13 and eventually, like generations of his family, becoming a skipper and master. And now? Living in Brazil. Building an apartment holiday development......and a boat for sea fishing for tourists. And the parcel at his shoulder? A sea fishing rod of course.
