Wonderful Day at Lake Hayes

We walked around Lake Hayes, which took 3 hours (including lunch), and the lake was picture perfect the whole time.  I got stunning photos from every vantage point.  The highlight of the day for me was that little 'h' and my daughter Sue joined us for the day.  Little 'h' managed very well, and we finished the day's walk with an ice cream in Arrowtown.  Then we had a look around the Chinese village with lots of tiny houses along the pathway.  A superb day was had by all the 20 walkers who participated.  The mountains in the photo are Cecil Peak (round mountain with snow on the top), and Walter Peak (the pointy one to the right).

To top off a lovely day I had a phone call from Walking Wombat, who is busy organising a long weekend here in Wanaka on the 25th of April 2015.  So far there seems to be a huge amount of interest from blippers from all over the world.
