Resting place for an old local.

Nearly 4 years after J died, V, his partner of 20+ years decided it was time to put him out with his mates. So she arranged for a boat to take their family & a couple of friends out to Tawera Point, in the Pelorus Sound. The weather forecast was bad - wind and rain. V never did like any sort of rough seas!! Our skipper Mike, said that Bruce would take care of it!! Bruce's ashes had been put out there after his death in late 1994.
Well, someone did, and even though the sky was threatening, it wasn't too cold, the wind not too bad, and the rain didn't start until we got back to Havelock.
Several old locals from the Sounds have their ashes here. Bruce is one, and was very fond of a gin, and one of his old mates (who is well into his 80's and still sails his boat into Havelock regularly), stops on the way past and has a gin and a yarn! (I've been told this from several people.)
