the house of horror is being sold, so me and some sisters went there for the first time in 20 years. to put all our family's crazy possessions in boxes, and to distract dad from having to spend time with his brother. Imagine a house that hasn't been cared for for at least 50 years, and with rooms that hadn't been cleaned for 20 years. our grandfather had many collections of very interesting, but useless things, now all covered in thick layers of dust. we didn't enter the bathroom because of mould, there was no electricity in most rooms, it took an hour to clean the toilet to be able to use it without throwing up. until a few months ago someone was still living in that house... i felt disgusted (and disgusting) when i came home
most difficult was my idiot uncle who continued telling us what worthless people we are, after a 20 year break. when he left he said 'i suppose i will never see you again', to which i muttered 'i hope so'
