This is the view the rescued have when a Severn class lifeboat comes alongside.

In June a routine rescue turned into a 12 hour marathon mission for this Barra Island lifeboat.

The yacht Rebel had grounded on a reef at the entrance to Loch Skipport on the north east coast of the Hebridean island. The yacht although seriously damaged was eventually re floated on the tide and towed to Lochboisdale on South Uist for repair.
