Edwin Smith is one of the great unsung heroes of British photography. His urban domestic scenes and atmospheric interiors perfectly capture an England that is sadly gone. Sir John Betjeman hailed him as "a genius of photography"

The RIBA has stage an exhibition that finally does justice to this artist of light.

Having spent a wonderful time at Portland Place the rest of the afternoon was taken up with a walk through Regents Park. It was amazing how vibrant the flowers beds in the park were.
