Ace breakfast out at Caravan in Granary Square (mobbed, great vibe, Mexican eggs, strong coffee, hit the spot completely) before a change of tone to take in the poppies at the Tower Of London. Very moving, the effect only slightly diminished by the thronging crowds bustling about taking in the sun, baking it was!

Headed off by mesen in the afternoon for trips west (Portobello Road) and east (Brick Lane) for record shopping. And, of course, no trip east is complete without a few obligatory shots of Bishopsgate on the way to Liverpool Street station for the tube back north.
