To The Lighthouse

In the morning we went to visit Auntie Edna and Uncle George, which was lovely, before going to the beach.

We climbed to the top of St Mary's Lighthouse. I tried to get out of it: I've done it before and have a certificate to prove it. But somehow I had to climb back up (with one eye shut), while Bad Granny and Auntie Livvy chickened out. To be fair, Mr HPW, Stevie and Pickled Grandad came too. Only the boys weren't scared. I don't know why we grown-ups needed to go up at all really.

Later on Liv decided she was brave enough to climb up after all and left us to stop her children throwing themselves onto the rocks. Afterwards we had doughnuts, chips and ice cream and ran some races.

Then some of us went to the Rendezvous Café and had cheese savoury rolls, before making a sandcastle.

In the evening (after a sleep) Mr HPW and I went out to meet Liv and Steve and Gemma and Graeme to eat a massive meat feast and do rubbish bowling in honour of Liv's birthday.
