First, or last?

It seems surprising to see a new waterlilly flowering on October 1st. Perhpas it will be the very last one for this year.
Today was the first day I have had at home for seemingly ages. No appointments, no events or meetings in the village, just a blank space in the diary. Yippee!!
However, it was very busy, with no time to sit and read a book in the garden!
Filing, ironing, dog walking of course,gardening, tidying, sorting, cooking.
Ah well, at least I feel a bit more organised!!
