Outdoor Rehearsals

The Whit Friday march contests are a fixture in the brass band calendar. Every year bands descend on little villages in Lancashire, where they march down the street playing one march and then stand outside a caravan (where the judge hides) to play a different "contest" march. Good money can be won!
