Black sand beach

We headed West to have brunch (Kiwi style - not quite as opulent as the ones we became accustomed to in the Middle East) with friends in Titirangi.

We then headed even further out through lush vegetation before getting to Piha - a popular surfing beach due to the crashing waves and instantly recognisable from it's black volcanic sand.

A cold day but we appreciated the view none the less
