Back to Blighty

After a frenetic day at the Paris Motor Show yesterday, it was lovely to wake up to another beautiful morning in the city and spend it writing, with no more foot-pounding to do. Then came news that homeward-bound flights were being delayed by fog in London. We heard tales of colleagues stranded at Airport Charlie, as the main Charles De Gaulle Airport is commonly nicknamed.

Happily our canny hosts, the Kia press office team, had booked a later flight, and from Orly, the much nicer airport on the south side of the city. Our flight was more or less on time. Hooray. It wasn't quite such good news, though, when we landed at Heathrow Terminal 5 and a technical problem held up delivery of checked-in luggage for a while. Just what you need at the end of a trip. No wonder there were so many empty trollies lined up!

My journey home was via the Tesla centre at West Drayton, to have a comprehensive briefing on the fabulous Tesla S electric car that I am driving for the next few days. I am now an instant expert on every available recharging location in a 60 mile radius!
