Printmaker Bronwen Sleigh

I met Bronwen Sleigh tonight at the opening of her solo exhibition at the &Collective gallery in Bridge of Allan.

With a name like Bronwen she must be Welsh., I thought.( For like all exiled Welsh I cant resist seeking out fellow countrymen and women.)
Well, she is…sort of.

For her English parents left London in the 1970s and bought a small holding in mid-Wales.

So Bronwen grew up in Wales and attended school in Brecon but like so many young people she left never to return studying first at Glasgow School of Art then the Royal College of Art.

Today Bronwen is a gifted and innovative international printmaker with works in major collections and museums including the Victoria and Albert museum.
