Turning water into wine

The weather forecast for today had been horrible and I was expecting to drive down to Kendal in torrential rain. Happily, it was sunny when I left Inverness and the journey down as far as Glasgow was a good one. The Autumn colours have really come on in the past couple of weeks.

After we cleared Glasgow, the skies darkened and we drove through heavy rain and spray on the road. It was lovely to reach my friends' house, have them come out to welcome me with hugs and whisk me indoors for wine o'clock.
