The Edge of the Wold

Bari

Bari was our first stop, situated on the coast at the top of the heel of Italy. Wifie and I went for a wander round the old town while many people from the boat disappeared off on organised excursions. Exploring the narrow alleyways, away from the shops and the piazza, we found a little more of a flavour of the town without the tourism. Here two small boys are admiring a little dog being carried by a little girl as the washing dries above their heads. Later sat in a cafe, I sneaked a photograph of this street scene which I rather liked for the dynamism of the interactions, and the recognisable Italian style overlain with universal influences.
